iBN Sports covers everything in sports that traditional television has overlooked!

Do you really believe you will see anything on TV? Well if that’s true, this company wouldn’t be such a successful business. A website that captures those events that currently go unseen, which doesn’t mean it’s no good but maybe lack of supply. Right in this website you will see all types of sports you wish to see games from places like school athletic programming until club sports, from individual to team to league play…

“It’s not just the game! While the “game” is what attracts fans to the venue, any sports enthusiast will attest that the “story” behind the game is what breathes life into the events we watch, providing it with depth and dimension. The flesh and blood drama of the human spirit rising to meet the challenges, the joy of victory, the heartache of defeat…it’s these stories that keep fans coming back for more. iBN Sports has the unique ability to deliver those compelling stories through live, multiple interactive video screens, real time interviews and unique cutting edge content.”

Interactive Broadcast Network (iBN) Sports is the first Internet-based broadcast sports television network. It has become more and more popular among internet and sports crazed consumers. While television networks will continue to provide their portioned coverage of sporting events, this coverage will arguable represent a fraction of the sports programming that can and will be streamed over the Internet to fans across the globe.

IABA: Irish Amateur Boxing Association

Wednesday, August 27th, 2008

Ireland is one of the countries that has produced great boxers and has won so many medals around the world. Too bad in the latest Olympics in Beijing, the only one Irish boxer that went to the final round, Kenny Egan in a light heavyweight match lost to Xiaoping Zhang from China 11 to 7. But he got the silver medal which is not bad at all since the last time a fighter from Ireland received a medal from the Olympics was in 1992.

So I got really interested in Ireland and its boxers. I just read about Ireland I wrote a review of an Irish boxing website a few days ago so I looked more and I got some interesting information I want you to know about the association.

The Irish Amateur Boxing Association was founded in 1911 following a meeting in Dublin. In 1937 the President of the Association at that time, General W.R.E. Murphy decided that it was time for the Association to have its own boxing stadium. The though became true 2 years later and the National Stadium was opened by Mr. Frank Aiken, T.D., the Minister of Defence.

The Association is really proud of that they are the only amateur boxing association in the world to have a stadium of its own that was custom built and which they manage and control. Thanks to General W.R.E. Murphy who first thought about this and made it become true.

If you are now starting to be interested in the Association, you can go to the website at http://www.iaba.ie/boxing/Main/Home.htm and check out other interesting information in the events each year or go see the latest news of Irish boxing or visit their Gallery which might make you interested more in Irish boxing and boxers.
