Welcome back! Who’s here is an MMA fighter? We have launched new MMA products in our store a few months ago but didn’t have time to talk about them yet.
It’s kinda new to our store since we’d only been selling Muay Thai equipment before. So now to be good in the business, I have to learn more about MMA and its products or equipments. So I did some research online on how to pick an MMA gloves.
The purpose of MMA gloves is just like Muay Thai gloves. The gloves are for absorbing the impact from the blow that might damage the knuckles. Good MMA gloves should be durable, light weight and allow the mobility of your hands.
MMA fighters need to use their hand for grapping. So if wearing MMA gloves that don’t feel comfortable and don’t allow the wearer to move their hand and fingers freely, then those are not the gloves you’re looking for.
Light weight gloves are best for high level fighters. The professional MMA gloves weigh about 4 oz. Amateur MMA gloves will weigh more. The reason is not different from Muay Thai gloves. Heavier gloves are perfect for learning and practicing and good for building muscles. Lighter gloves are great for fighting as they allow the MMA fighters to move their hands with greater speed.
Look for durable gloves when it’s time to invent for ones. Durable gloves will last much longer than the cheap material ones. Real leather is what you’re looking for.
Ask your trainer is the best way to go since there are a few types of MMA gloves to choose from.
Here are the samples of what we have. Check out our store for more.
